Where Oil Profit Taxes Should Go

An idea: Why not distribute the 10% tax on oil profits to car manufacturers who are losing money? Aren't they related in some way?

Why give to the car manufacturers?
Why not make the gasoline cheaper?

The car manufacturers have to develope economic cars like the Mercedes-Benz A-Class "F-Cell". Unfortunately this is not yet available because it's just a fleet of 60 research vehicles ...

To fill up my car (54 liters) I have to pay about € 60, that means € 1.12 per liter. Good that I have a diesel engine (Mercedes-Benz A 180 CDI) with low (about 5.5 liters per 100 km) fuel consumption, that means nearly 1,000 km until next tank!
If my car would require gasoline, filling up would cost more than € 73 because one liter of gasoline (premium, extra, 95 octan) is € 1.36!
And you Americans don't care because one gallon (= 4.5 liters) is only fifty cents!
Visit my blog to see the cars of tomorrow and the energy for the future!
